UPDATE:
The Smith Project
The Smith’s Ancestry DNA test results are pending. In the interim, our researchers continue to diligently pursue their family history. Microfilm ordered from the Family History Center in Salt Lake did not provide the answers we had hoped for.  Undeterred, the research efforts to uncover a certain ancestor’s parentage continues, looking at other avenues to investigate. That is to say, for a few brief moments we were elated to locate several sources of information which seemed to verify a ‘hunch’, only to discover additional conflicting evidence! Other efforts continue to locate a newspaper account of a suspicious 1864 death are unresolved.  Stay tuned!
