Guest Speaker – Merilee Mulvey on 1st Rhododendron Festival

Merilee MulveyMerilee Mulvey will introduce us to the story behind the first Rhododendron Pageant of Florence in 1908. We’ll hear how it all began, and the role of 3 young ladies – the festival’s first queen, the Indian girl who recited a poem at the event and her teacher who wrote the poem.  Join us for this special presentation.
